Guest Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

1.1. These Guest Terms and Conditions ("Guest T&Cs") constitute a binding contract between Travent and the Guest.

1.2. Travent provides an online platform and various tools, services, and functions (the “Travent Platform”) that enable property owners and managers to list their properties and allow Guests to select and interact with these listings (collectively, the “Services”). Services are available via country-specific URLs, including, and through mobile applications (collectively, the "Site").

1.3. These Guest T&Cs govern the relationship between Travent and any individual using or accessing the Site and any content or services available to Guests or potential Guests, who are not using the Site in the capacity of a property owner or manager. Guests include individuals using the Site to access information and book properties, whether for business or leisure purposes.

1.4. Use of the Services on the Site is governed by these Guest T&Cs. If you do not fully agree to the Guest T&Cs, you are not authorized to access or otherwise use the Site.

1.5. Travent does not authorize anyone to register with the Site unless they can enter into legally binding contracts. Therefore, the Services may only be used by individuals aged 18 and over.

1.6. Certain sections or functionalities of the Site may be restricted to Guests who have created an account and are logged in. Travent may allow Guests to use compatible third-party authentication providers for logging in or registering on Travent. Regardless of how you log in, you are responsible for all activities under your account and must safeguard your account password. Immediately notify Travent of any unauthorized use of your account.

1.7. Travent may revise these Guest T&Cs from time to time for reasons such as technical developments, changes in business operations, new or amended products or features, or changes in applicable laws. You will be provided with 30 days’ notice in advance of any changes or our decision to terminate these Guest T&Cs via the email address you provided. You should visit this page periodically to view the most current Guest T&Cs as they are binding on you.

1.8. Travent may ask you to provide personal information, such as your full name, telephone number, and email address, to enable certain functionalities like property booking. For more information about the personal data we collect and your rights, please read our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

2. The Basics

2.1. This Site is a platform where Guests can view listings of properties offered for rent (“Properties”) by others, including property owners, lessees, and managers (each, a “Host” and collectively with a Guest, the “users”). We may also offer other tools or services to allow users to communicate and enter into rental agreements or other transactions.

2.2. The Site acts as a venue for users to interact with each other. Rental contracts are concluded only between the Guest and the Host. Travent is not, and does not become, a party to any contractual relationship between the Guest and the Host. Travent is not obligated to mediate between the Guest and the Host in the event of any dispute. You acknowledge and agree that the Guest and the Host will be responsible for performing the obligations of any agreements between them. Travent disclaims all liability arising from any such agreements even if the Site facilitates a booking.

2.3. Guests are responsible for complying with all laws, rules, and regulations applicable to their use of the Site and any transactions they enter into. Hosts are responsible for complying with all laws, rules, and regulations applicable to the listing and rental of their Property and their rental property business. Even though Travent is not a party to any rental transaction, we may be required to provide information to governmental or regulatory bodies for investigations, litigation, or administrative proceedings.

3. Service Fee Payable by Guests

3.1. The service fee (“Service Fee”) is charged to Guests when booking a Property through the Travent Platform and is typically calculated as a percentage of the total rental amount. The Service Fee, plus any applicable taxes, will be displayed to Guests at the time of booking and before final check-out. The Service Fee is non-refundable if a Guest cancels a booking.

3.2. The Site consists of Property Listings provided by Hosts. Travent provides access to this content and allows you to communicate directly with the Host to inquire about a Property and make bookings. All bookings are made directly with the Host, and your contract is with the Host. Travent is not a party to this contract and has no liability for the Host’s provision of the Property.

4. Property Listings and Interaction with Hosts

4.1. Hosts are entirely responsible for all information, including images, text, and other content, relating to their Properties (“Listings”), updating them, and ensuring (where relevant) that they are correctly translated.

4.2. Guests can make bookings on the platform and pay with their credit card or other available payment methods through the checkout process. Online credit card payments are processed through our third-party payment providers and are subject to their terms and conditions.

5. Registration and Establishing an Account

5.1. Guests must register with the Site to use all services available. Travent does not authorize anyone to register unless they can enter into legally binding contracts. Successful completion of the registration process results in a user account (an “Account”).

5.2. To obtain an Account, follow all instructions given during the registration process. You can sign up using a personal email address or through compatible third-party authentication providers.

5.3. Guests can deactivate their Account at any time. Even after deactivating, data may be retained by Travent. Data related to your transactions may remain on other sites, such as Google, if Google search engine technology has copied content from Travent’s sites or systems. 5.4. Travent uses Google Analytics to gather statistics on Site usage. More details can be found in the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy and Google’s privacy policy. Travent has no control over Google’s data collection.

6. Rights and Obligations of Travent

6.1. Travent will endeavor to reproduce accurately any photographs supplied by Hosts. However, deviations from original photos can occur due to individual screen settings. Travent is not responsible for such deviations.

6.2. Hosts, not Travent, are responsible for the accuracy of photos and descriptions of their Properties.

6.3. User verification on the Internet is difficult, and Travent cannot assume responsibility for confirming each user's purported identity.

6.4. Travent is not responsible for checking the identity or behavior of Hosts or for establishing the nature, condition, or existence of a Property.

6.5. Travent may disclose a proportionate portion of Guest’s personal information to relevant third parties to prevent fraudulent behavior or in the event of a complaint, claim, or potential litigation, upon request through legal representation, competent authority, court order, subpoena, or warrant.

6.6. Travent reserves the right to transfer these Guest T&Cs and to assign or subcontract any or all of its rights and obligations under these Guest T&Cs to a third party or any other entity belonging to Travent.

7. Guests’ Accounts, Communications, and Reviews

7.1. Guests must provide accurate and truthful information concerning their identity in their Accounts, profile pages, and any other communications, including reviews of Properties.

7.2. Messages sent via Travent systems should only relate to genuine booking inquiries. Spam or unsolicited commercial electronic communications of any kind are prohibited. It is prohibited to misuse Travent systems, such as by sending unsolicited commercial communications or disclosing personal information of users to a third party without express permission.

7.3. Guests who have booked through the Site may post reviews of Hosts’ Properties (“Guest Reviews”). Hosts can view and respond to Guest Reviews. More details about Guest Reviews and Host Reviews are available on the Site. Host Reviews cannot be used to exclude or discriminate against individuals. Once either the Guest or Host submits a review, the other has 14 days to submit a review. Travent may remove Content if it is notified that it is illegal. Guests may appeal the decision to remove Content by contacting Customer Service.

7.4. Travent does not verify the accuracy of Guest Reviews, Host Responses, or Host Reviews.

7.5. Travent requires all Guest Reviews, Host Responses, Host Reviews, and other communications using Travent systems to conform to the Content Guidelines. Travent may decline to post or remove any content that does not comply.

7.6. Travent complies with its Privacy Policy. Hosts have generally authorized Travent to forward the Host’s contact details, including telephone number, to Guests in connection with a Property booking. Guests may ask for these details by providing proof of booking.

8. Prohibitions

Guests shall not directly or indirectly:

  • Exploit, copy, distribute, reproduce, edit, translate, make publicly accessible, or decompile any part of the Site or its content.
  • Monitor content on the Site by means of robots, spiders, or other automatic instruments, except for general-purpose internet search engines.
  • Use the Site or Travent systems for any purpose other than those outlined in these Guest T&Cs.
  • Use the Site or its services for the purpose of booking or soliciting rentals for properties other than those listed.
  • Reproduce any portion of the Site on another website or using any device, including framing techniques.
  • Upload or send to the Site any content or programs that might damage Travent computers or networks.
  • Include content on the Site that breaches any applicable laws.
  • Use the Site in any way that might endanger any computer system or network.
  • Post or transmit information that is false, fraudulent, or misleading.
  • Post or transmit any unlawful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, or indecent material.
  • Refer to Travent in any way that might lead someone to believe that the Guest or any website is sponsored by, affiliated with, or endorsed by Travent.

If our automated fraud detection systems detect signs of fraud, abuse, or suspicious activity, Travent may cancel any bookings and close associated accounts.

9. Right to Delete Content

Guests are responsible for ensuring that their communications and content posted on the Site do not infringe the law or the rights of any person or entity. Travent may review and delete or alter data that is no longer accurate or up-to-date. Travent is entitled to remove any communications or content that infringes these requirements and suspend or prevent the usage of any related Account. The user will be promptly notified of the reasons for these measures and may send any comments to Travent.

10. Liability of Travent

10.1. The Site is a venue allowing you to view Properties listed on the Site, communicate with Hosts, or make bookings. Travent is not liable for any contract you enter into with a Host or for any Property you book. Your contract is with the Host, and their terms and conditions will apply.

10.2. Travent does not provide liability insurance protection for Hosts, property managers, or Guests. Guests are advised to obtain suitable travel insurance to cover their booking, including in the event of cancellation. It is the Guest’s responsibility to ensure their insurance is adequate and appropriate.

10.3. Travent is liable for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these Terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. However, Travent is not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable.

10.4. Travent will not be liable for claims brought by third parties alleging, arising out of, or in connection with any material or content you provide to the Site, your use of the Site, any breach of these Guest T&Cs, or your use of the Property.

10.5. Refunds will be processed immediately, but the timing to receive any refund will vary based on the payment method. Refunds are processed in the currency of the original payment. Bank charges incurred during the booking process or as part of the refund process may be deducted by the bank from the refunded amount and will not be refunded by Travent.

10.6The courts of Abu Dhabi shall have sole jurisdiction over any dispute arising from or related to these Guest Terms and Conditions.

11. Miscellaneous

11.1. These Guest T&Cs are governed by the laws of the UAE. 

11.2. Travent recommends that you save a copy of these Guest T&Cs for your records.

11.3. Travent’s failure to act with respect to a breach of these Guest T&Cs does not waive its right to act with respect to subsequent or similar breaches.
